Jo Storie - Labour ; lives in Bowthorpe, former county councillor but has certainly not been involved in any of the community groups since I have been involved.
Dave Thomas - LibDem ; lives on the other side of the City and stood for a seat in Thetford in 2007. Nothing known locally, other than criticism of starting campaign the day after John died.
Christine Way - Green; perenial Green candidate, lives in the City Centre.
Andrew Wiltshire - Conservatives; lives in Bowthorpe and works for Social Services. In his twenties and runs the local CF branch.
Interesting that only 2 candidates live locally; I wonder what people will make of candidates being parachuted in with no track record and claiming to be "local campaigners"?

So Antony, how long has Andrew lived in Clover Hill then? I've lived here nearly as long as Jo and I don't remember him being here!
Where & when was Jo Storie a county councillor???
Antony, your comments about candidates living locally doesn't really stand up when you or your fellow Cllr Nikki George don't live in Bowthorpe either...
Oooh ... a string of anon comments, how exciting.
Firstly I was informed by a Lab member that Jo Storie was a former County Councillor. I haven't checked but amd happy to correct if I have bene misinformed.
Secondly, Andrew has lived in Clover Hill for a short time but was in North Earlham before that so knows the area pretty well. He has been editor of our local newsletter and acted as Niki's campaign manager in 08. Pretty good local credentials compared to "parachute Dave"
Thirdly, I did live in Bowthorpe and campaigned solidly from 03-06 before winning my seat. I think I earned the title "local campaigner"; do you think Dave deserves the same title having only just located it on a map the day after John died?
I am enjoying this aspect of the debate very much; please keep them coming. The address of the candidates is currently the third most popular issue on the doorstep.
My belief is Dave Jones is a "parachuted" candidate from Thetford, who lives outside N5. Greyhound slurs will backfire on LibDem's and Lubbock. Perhaps Lubbock should have resigned in 2006 after her side lost £2m?
The Green candidate comes across a a "paper parachuted" candidate, like Ramsay's partner last year
There's no doubt that no matter how many leaflets they give me or how many times they knock (I live in 3score) the Lib Dem candidate has nothing to do with Bowthorpe. I dodn't know how I'll vote but it will be either Tory or Labour because they at least had the decency of finding real local candidates.
Jo Storie was a city cllr in the 80s and well respected. She wasn't a county cllr - I may have been the person who gave you that misinformation - not intentionally done.
I think Andrew Wiltshire has a strong chance of winning; but hats off to Dave Thomas for making it a contest/putting the effort in; unlike Greens/Labour.
Hats back on for Dave Thomas. He and his crowd have made this election really dirty. There he is slagging everyone off for this and that, whilst purposely leaving out his party misaacounted for £2m of our money 3 years ago.
Dave T I don't want you as my Bowthorpe councillor with this gutter behaviour; you've let politics down with your dirt bag slurs on other parties.
Thanks for this Anthony, got your leaflet at the weekend and after reading your blog I definately wont be voting Conservative until you and Andrew are gone! Voted Conservative all my life but dont appreciate this kind of behaviour from my local representatives!
