Talking of political marriages...

A little birdie tells me that the lovely Mrs Cllr Simon Wright, LibDem PPC for Norwich South, has suddenly appeared on the Eaton Focus as their new team member.

We'll all miss Cllr Couzens, who despite saying he wants to carry on is now clearly for the chop, because there appears to be a new face in town (for those of you who don't get the reference, when somebody "joins" the Focus Team, it means they are the next candidate).

I don't like to gloat, but I said some months ago that this would happen - backed up by whispers in City Hall from other groups. I just thought it would be Mr Wright that did it, rather than Mrs Wright. Either way - good luck to her, Eaton will be a close race next time.

What's wrong with gloating?

"I don't like to gloat"

Seeing as your blog is mainly made up of entries gloating at the Lib Dems, I believe this is a lie.
It makes you look petty and small, and I for one will never vote for you. And no, I am not a Liberal Democrat

I was being ironic. I love to gloat. It is just that humourless people like you miss out on life's little witissisms. If I ever lose by 1 vote I shall regret annoying you by continuing to breath in and out. However just to annoy you further I should point out that as I took Labour's safest council seat on a swing of 30% since 2003 I shant worry too much.

Ever considered the fact that you're just painfully unfunny?

And I am continually appalled by your typically Tory arrogant attitude to the electorate

I'm glad you checked back. I very rarely get direct e-mail communication (about a comment ayway) but following your original comment I recieved a very nice e-mail from a chap who lives in Golden Triangle saying that it people like you who are driving him to vote Conservative. Thanks - keep on posting!

Oh, and I treat the electorate with the respect they deserve which is why for the first time in over 40 years the people of rock-solid Labour Bowthorpe voted for me.

LOL.

Wrong. I am part of your electorate and I'm TELLING you that your attitude stinks.

What on earth is this thread about? I live in Bowthorpe and Norwich South. I voted Labour and then LibDem for 20 years. I voted for Antony since 2004 because he is genuine, hard working and approachable.

Petty? Small? Arrogant? Not the kind of phrases I associate with Antony at all. I'm not political at all but I feel that Antony is being unfairly slated by some troll.

Isn't it funny that somebody who feels as strongly as this isn't prepared to put their name to the comments?

I always feel that people who call other people arrogant are, in fact, more arrogant themselves. I think this say more about "anonymous" than it does about Cllr Little.
